KRAFTON, Inc. announced that Dinkum, the popular survival life simulation game for PC, will be featured in the upcoming Steam Free Weekend event. From April 3 to April 7, Dinkum will be free-to-play on Steam. Players interested in continuing after the trial can purchase the game at a 20% discount during the event.
Developed by Australian solo developer James Bendon, Dinkum launched in Early Access on Steam in July 2022. Since February 2025, KRAFTON has overseen global publishing and operations.
Set on an island inspired by the Australian outback, Dinkum invites players to gather resources, hunt, fish, mine, build, and develop their own thriving town. The game features rich customization options and a vibrant community of NPCs with whom players can form meaningful relationships.
Having surpassed 1 million units sold and maintaining a “Very Positive” rating on Steam, Dinkum continues to grow its global fanbase. Following a major update in February, the game now supports 14 official languages, broadening its reach even further.
