KRAFTON to Host PUBG Global Championship 2023 from 18 November to 3 December in Bangkok, Thailand

Base prize pool of $2 million, with an additional 25% of PGC 2023 item sales revenue

AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDS - 17 November, 2023 - KRAFTON, Inc. will host the upcoming 'PUBG Global Championship (PGC) 2023,' the top-tier international esports tournament for PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS, commencing on 18 November.

PGC is the ultimate international competition, where 32 teams and 128 players from around the world compete at the end of each year to determine the world's best PUBG team through fierce battles in regional leagues.

Event details
PGC 2023 will take place at the BCC Hall within Central Ladprao, a shopping complex located in Bangkok, Thailand, from 18 November to 3 December. Teams from across the globe, including 4 qualifiers, 10 from Asia, 7 from Asia-Pacific, 6 from Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, and 4 from the Americas, will compete for victory.

Prize Pool
With a base prize pool of $2 million and an additional 25% from PGC 2023 item sales revenue, the total prize money promises to make this event a high-stakes and intense bout for the PUBG community. The distribution will be based on final rankings, with the champion team securing a base prize of $600,000 and the tournament's MVP receiving $10,000.

Competition Structure
PGC 2023 will comprise a Group Stage, a Winners' Bracket, Losers' Bracket, and a Last-Chance Stage, culminating in the Grand Finals featuring the top 16 teams.

The competition schedule is:

  • Group Stage: 18-21 November
  • Winners' Bracket: 25-26 November
  • Losers' Bracket: 23-24 November
  • Last-Chance Stage: 27-28 November
  • Grand Finals: 1-3 December

Broadcast Information
PGC 2023 will be available for viewing from 11:00 AM GMT on various online streaming platforms, including the official PUBG esports website, offering multi-view broadcasts and language options.

Viewers can participate in the 'Pick'em Challenge' and the 'PUBG Fantasy League' for a chance to win in-game items. Exclusive Esports Points (EP) earned through predictions can be used to acquire PGC 2023 commemorative items.
