KRAFTON Kicks off PUBG Nations Cup 2024

The UK team will be competing against 15 other nations for the $300,000 prize pool

AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDS – 5 September 2024 -
KRAFTON Inc. is set to launch the PUBG Nations Cup (PNC) 2024, an international esports competition for PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS, on September 6.

Last year the UK came in second place, following a first-place victory in 2022. The roster has only had one change from 2023, with the addition of mykLe, who will be joining vard, Fexx, TeaBone and MiracU.

PNC 2024 will take place over three days, from 6–8 September, at the Peace Hall, Kyung Hee University in Seoul, South Korea. Following last year’s PNC 2023, this year’s event will also be held in Seoul, serving as the main event of the 'Game Esports Seoul (GES) 2024,' a new initiative by the city to foster the growth of the gaming and esports industries.

The event will feature 16 national teams from around the world. South Korea, the defending champions, will compete alongside other strong teams including the UK, all of which are composed of top-performing players on the international stage. Notably, Indonesia returns to the PNC after a two-year absence, and Norway is making its debut, drawing significant attention from fans.

PNC 2024 will feature a total of 18 matches, with six matches held each day. The final rankings will be determined by combining kill points and placement points from all matches. The base prize pool is $300,000, with an additional 25% of the revenue from PNC 2024 commemorative item sales to be distributed among the teams according to their final standings.

As the main event of GES 2024, PNC 2024 will offer various participation programs for Seoul citizens. Additionally, collaboration merchandise featuring the PNC 2024 IP and Seoul’s mascots, 'Haechi and Seoul Friends,' will be produced and sold, with all proceeds donated to charity.

To commemorate PNC 2024, various events will be held. Fans can participate in fan-meet up sessions with the players in the venue lobby every day at 4 PM (KST). Outside the venue, there will be spaces where attendees can experience various KRAFTON games, including PUBG MOBILE and Dark and Darker Mobile, along with merchandise stores.

Online events will also be available, including a 'Pick’em Challenge' where fans can predict the top four teams and a 'Fantasy League' virtual simulation esports event. Prizes include top-tier gaming chairs and various PUBG items.

PNC 2024 matches will begin at 6 PM (KST) each day and will be broadcast on PUBG Esports' official YouTube channel, Twitch, and TikTok.
