PCS7 AMERICAS BEGINS THIS WEEK

The last PUBG Continental Series (PCS) event of the year begins this week with PCS7 Americas. PCS7 Americas will feature teams from NA and LATAM and will take place across August and September, with Open Qualifiers starting this week, Aug.10.

Similar to PCS6, this event will be broken down into four stages: Open Qualifier (Aug. 10-17), Regional Playoff (Aug. 19-21), Last Chance Qualifier (Aug. 27-28), and the Grand Final. 

Open Qualifier Details (Aug. 10-17)

• The Open Qualifier will be held separately for each sub-region (NA and LATAM) and support up to 160 teams. 

• There will be three rounds and each round will last 2 days with 6 matches each day (12 total matches per round).

• The top 8 teams from each sub-region will move on to their respective Regional Playoff. 

Regional Playoff Details (Aug. 18-20)

• The Regional Playoff will be held separately for each sub-region (NA and LATAM).  

• Featuring a $25,000 prize pool for each sub-region, the Regional Playoff will see the top 8 teams from the Open Qualifier compete against 16 teams who have been invited based on their performance at ESL PUBG Masters Americas 2022 Phase 2. 

• The 24 teams from the Regional Playoff will be divided into 3 groups of 8. Each group will play the others over the course of a 6-match day, making the Regional Playoff a 3-day event.

• Teams will be ranked on a cumulative SUPER Point Rule leaderboard. The top 6 teams from each Regional Playoff leaderboard will move on to the PCS7 Americas Grand Final, and the next best 8 teams (7th-14th place) from each sub-region will come together to compete in the Last Chance Qualifier. The bottom 10 from each region will be eliminated.

Last Chance Qualifier Details (Aug. 27-28)

• The Last Chance Qualifier will be 2 days of 6 matches each and will send the top 4 teams based on the SUPER Point Rule scoring system to the Grand Final. The LCQ will also award a total prize pool of $20,000.

Grand Final Details (Sept. 16-25)

• While the PCS7 Grand Finals will feature a massive $250,000 prize pool, additional details will be announced soon.
