FOUR EUROPEAN TEAMS QUALIFY FOR PUBG GLOBAL SERIES 2 GRAND FINALS

The Grand Finals for the PUBG Global Series 2 (PGS 2), a global PUBG Esports tournament in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, will be taking place on 18 – 20 August, featuring 16 top rosters from around the globe. The top teams will be fighting for their share of the $2.3 million prize pool and PGS Points needed to secure a place at the year-end PUBG Global Championship 2023 (PGC 2023.)

Of the five teams from Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) that participated in PGS 2, four successfully landed in the Grand Finals. In the Winners Bracket, held from 13 – 14 August, top 8 teams including FaZe Clan and Question Mark, secured their tickets to the Grand Finals. In the Losers Bracket, which ran from 15 – 16 August, top 8 teams including Twisted Minds and Natus Vincere joined the Grand Finals.
The three-day Grand Finals will consist of a total of 18 matches, with 6 matches per day, and the team with the highest ranking will become the champion of PGS 2 and take home $600,000.

The 16 Grand Finals teams will also be awarded PGS Points, with the winners receiving 300 PGS Points, enough to let the team secure a spot in the year-end PUBG Global Championship. The top four teams that have acquired the most total PGS Points in PGS 1 and PGS 2, will be advancing to the PGC 2023. PGS Points are separate from the PGC Points granted in regional competitions and will not be combined.

All matches of PGS 2 will begin at 2pm (CEST) and can be followed live on the official PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS Twitch and PUBG: Esports YouTube channels.

In celebration of the PGS 2 event, four out of the eight Global Partner Teams – Twisted Minds, Soniqs, Four Angry Men, and Gen.G – are showcasing their Team Edition items. Each team has designed its own unique skins, which are available for purchase in-game until 3 am (BST)/4 am (CEST) on 30 August. The skins for the other four teams were previously sold for a limited time during PGS 1. 25% of the revenue generated from the sale of the Team Edition skins will be distributed among the global partner teams.
